Inside the Puppy Pen: Day 24 – Standing to Nurse

By three and a half weeks old, puppies are stronger and more coordinated, which means momma can comfortably stand while nursing. This shift is an important developmental milestone — it encourages the puppies to build balance, strengthen their muscles, and improve coordination as they nurse.

This stage also signals that the puppies are ready to start exploring soft foods soon, while still getting the nutrition and antibodies they need from mom’s milk. These little steps lay the foundation for their growth and future training success.
