Inside the Puppy Pen: Day 21

Three weeks old today, and the puppies are showing more personality with each passing day! Today’s video captures a sweet moment as three of our kids spent time loving on and playing with them. Noelle discovered just how eager Plum is for human interaction—she would place Plum a little distance away, and Plum wasted no time running right back to her.


At this age, the puppies are soaking up every bit of affection and attention. Their tails wag, their eyes sparkle, and they are beginning to connect the joy of play with the comfort of people. These early experiences of touch, play, and bonding are shaping them into the loving companions they’ll become.


Why this stage matters: Around three weeks old, puppies enter a key developmental window for socialization. The more positive experiences they have with people, sounds, and movement now, the more confident and well-adjusted they’ll be as adults. Seeing Plum run toward Noelle so eagerly is a wonderful sign of growing trust and confidence.
