Inside the Puppy Pen: Day 12 – Learning Through Problem Solving

Today’s video captured a classic puppy moment — a little teat competition! Blackberry found himself nose-to-nose with Raspberry, both determined to claim the same spot. Instead of stepping in and moving him to an open one, I let him work it out.

Problem solving is an important life skill, even for puppies. Learning to navigate small challenges builds confidence and resilience. Moments like these, though tiny, lay the foundation for adaptability as they grow — whether it’s figuring out a toy puzzle, navigating new environments, or working through life’s little frustrations.

Sometimes the best lessons happen when we give them space to figure things out.
