Goose’s Big Adventure

Last night, I flew Goose to Fort Myers, Florida, to meet his new family — and I couldn’t be happier with how everything went. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure I was even going to make that flight with him being 23 pounds and such a big boy for a carry-on, but somehow everything worked out. They let us on, and Goose was an absolute angel the entire time. He didn’t make a peep — just curled up in his carrier and slept peacefully the whole flight.

I’m so thankful it all worked out, because that drive would’ve been quite the drive! His new family says he settled right in, which doesn’t surprise me one bit — that’s just who Goose is.

I also got to spend time with my husband’s grandparents while I was there, and they’re some of the most wonderful people in the world. It made the whole trip even more special — a sweet mix of goodbyes, family, and gratitude. This morning was beautiful, and now I’m headed home.
