Day 50: Fruit Litter Nursing Home Visit

Our Fruit Litter had another heartwarming visit to the nursing home this week, and once again it was pure joy all around. These weekly outings have quickly become one of the highlights of our puppy program.

For the puppies, it’s an amazing opportunity to keep learning and growing. They experience new sights, sounds, smells, and gentle hands—all of which are essential for building confident, well-rounded companions. Each cuddle, each smile, and each lap they sit in helps shape them into dogs who are ready to bring comfort and love wherever life takes them.

For the residents, it’s just as special. Sometimes, all it takes is a soft puppy paw or a wagging tail to brighten the day. A few minutes of cuddling melts stress away, sparks laughter, and brings back fond memories of pets they’ve loved before. The joy on their faces reminds us why we do this every week—it’s truly a gift exchanged both ways.

For our family, these visits are a blessing. Watching the puppies connect with people in such a tender way is a reminder that dogs really do carry a piece of joy inside them. They remind us that life is sweeter when it’s shared—especially with a wagging tail by your side.

We’re so grateful that these puppies get to spread smiles as they prepare for their own journeys to forever homes.
