It is officially time to put your guesses in!

How many puppies do you think Reba is carrying, and what day do you think she will have them?

Reba is due December 28, and we are deep in the final stretch. We are officially in puppy watch mode now. That means temperature checks twice a day, daily belly rubs, and staying close so she is never left alone. At this point, labor can start at any time.

In these final days, the puppies are growing fast. They are finishing lung development, gaining weight, and preparing for birth, which is why mom’s belly often really fills out right at the end. Even if photos do not fully show it, there is no doubt she is carrying a good number in there.

These last quiet days are always a mix of excitement and careful watching as we wait for her to tell us it is time.
