Herb Litter – Day 5
Our youngest litter is still focused on the most important part of early development — nursing. During this stage, puppies rely completely on their mother’s milk, which provides perfectly balanced nutrition and antibodies to support their developing immune systems. Nursing also helps regulate their body temperature and strengthens their bond with Mama, creating a secure foundation as their senses continue to develop.
Fruit Litter – Day 30
For our older litter, we’re moving into an important phase of early training: clicker conditioning. This process teaches the puppies to associate the sound of a click with a reward — in this case, a nutrient-rich raw dog food treat. This step is crucial because it lays the groundwork for clear communication in future training sessions. The puppies learn that the click marks a desired behavior, making it easier to guide and reinforce positive habits as they grow.
Early positive associations like this help build confident, eager-to-learn puppies. Fun fact: Blackberry and Raspberry were the first to catch on, showing strong food motivation — a helpful trait for future training success.
