They had fun with a cardboard box in the pen. New objects like this are such an easy way to encourage curiosity, confidence, and problem solving. It was fun watching them investigate every part of it, from chewing on the edges to trying to climb on top and figure it out. Even little moments like this help puppies learn how to interact with new environments and experiences.

At the very end of the video, you’ll also notice how nicely everyone is starting to offer a sit for attention and petting. We’ve been quietly working on those early manners, and they are doing such a good job learning that calm behavior gets them affection and interaction. It is always exciting to see those little pieces starting to click at this age.
